Understanding music as a multifaceted art Luis has always approached it from perspectives as diverse as interpretation, composition and conducting, encompassing genres ranging from classical to the 21st century, jazz, and modern song.
Luis Seguí has established himself as a conductor and pianist, joining Adda Symphony Orchestra as a piano, celesta and organ keyboardist in repertoire that ranges from Stravinsky, Prokofiev and Shostakovich to Bernstein, Adams, Glass, Holst, Lutoslawsky, Jolivet, Márquez or Williams; he accompanies singers and choirs as a collaborative pianist, and stands out for his participation as repertorist and assistant conductor of Ricardo Llorca's opera "The empty hours" at the Teatro Real Madrid. As a conductor Luis specializes in 20th century winds and choir repertoire, guest conducting professional wind ensembles such as those from Alicante and Vitoria, and leading community groups L'Avanç and Larraix as its music director for more than 15 years. He has also been principal conductor of choirs ACB, Coro del Teatro Principal and Chamber Choir Óscar Esplà, leading this group to join participatory concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York City and Southwark Cathedral in London.

Luis’ extensive education encompasses instrumental degrees in percussion and piano as well as the disciplines of composition and conducting. While finishing his percussion studies in Alicante and Amsterdam he joined the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE) where he was percussion player for four years. The Spanish Ministry of Culture granted him the Fulbright Scholarship and he entered the Berklee College of Music in Boston to study traditional composition for three years. In addition to his formal studies in orchestral conducting, Luis has taken specialized conducting workshops in Barcelona, London, Manchester, Wien, Bakersfield and New York City.
